Meera performs for Pakistani flood victims in New York
NEW YORK : Pakistani actress Meera is winning hearts with her efforts for flood victims in Pakistan.
The "Baaji" actress recently organized a show in New York and performed in it to raise funds for the flood victims.
Meera's reason for performing was to participate in this noble cause as she stated that she was willing to perform for flood victims anywhere in the world if at least one bereaved family would have a roof over their head.
"Today I performed in New York to raise money for flood victims," she wrote, sharing glimpses of her performance on Instagram.
Asking her fans, she said: “Please join hands and work on this together. Open your hearts and homes to the families of the flood victims. Together we can do anything. Let's not discount those who ask for help. Together, we can…”
"As an artist and the most sensitive element of society, I am willing to perform for flood victims anywhere in the world if at least one bereaved family will have a roof over their head. I thank the honorable chief organizer Ayesha Ali and all the other organizers of the Brooklyn fundraising event for the special invitation and the opportunity to participate in of this noble cause, she added.
