The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more showers in Sindh during the next 48 hours under the influence of the new monsoon.
MET office director Sardar Sarfaraz said that another strong monsoon system is currently present in central India, which is expected to enter Sindh from tomorrow. New monsoon currents will bring rain to Sindh and Balochistan.
He said several parts of Karachi were likely to receive moderate to heavy downpour from August 24-25. Khairpur, Larkana, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Ghotki, Kashmore and Jacobabad will also receive showers today, said Sardar Sarfaraz.
From 23rd to 26th August, north-eastern and southern regions of Balochistan will experience heavy downpour. Heavy downpours in Balochistan may trigger floods in Dadu, Jamshora and Qamar Shahdadkot, PMD said in its weather alert.
