WC T20: Match between Pakistan and India likely to be played
The much awaited match between Pakistan and India in World Cup 2022 is likely to be affected by rain. The world's biggest cricket event kicks off in Australia .
The two traditional rivals are placed in Group 2 at the Super 12 stage. The other teams in their group are Bangladesh and South Africa. The group will have two more teams join the group after competing in the qualifiers.
Bilateral cricket between the arch-rivals remains suspended due to their strained political relations. However, the cricket-crazy nations welcome the sporting events whenever they occur or whenever the two teams meet in multi-team tournaments.
The two teams will face off in Melbourne at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
However, according to the weather forecast, on Sunday [23. October] is expecting a heavy downpour in Melbourne - the day Pakistan and India are scheduled to play a group match.
The report says that all the tickets for the much hyped match have been sold out. In the event of a draw, both teams will receive one point each.
