Punjab adds new subject to matric and intermediate exams
The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) have announced the inclusion of Quran translations in the matriculation and intermediate level curricula.
They added that the board exams for the subject will be for classes 9 and 11.
By adding Quran translation to the matriculation exam syllabus, the total marks for the board exam will increase to 1,200.
It was also learned that the Punjab Board of Curriculum and Textbooks will prepare the syllabus for the classes with the new subject.
More news, matriculation board exam results will be announced by 31st August as earlier announced by Punjab Education Board.
The Education Boards have also decided that instead of being allocated position this year, students will be graded. The results will also be published on the councils' websites.
